Fascias, Soffits & Guttering: common questions
Can you repair wooden fascias instead of replacing them?
Often, yes. If the rot is limited to a few sections we cut it out and splice in new timber. If most of the board is soft, replacing it in uPVC works out better value.
Do you remove the old timber fascias?
Yes. When we replace in uPVC we strip out the old boards so we can check the rafter ends are sound, rather than capping over rot.
How long does uPVC roofline last?
Good-quality uPVC needs no painting and lasts 25 years or more.
Do you do gutter cleaning on its own?
Yes. We clear gutters and downpipes and will let you know if anything needs repairing.
